Who Are The Voiceover Artists Behind your Favourite Childhood Cartoons? | Voices Bazaar

Growing up, I’m sure you’ve all enjoyed the mischief and pure evil genius of our cutest golu Shinchan, and who can forget a phase where all we wanted was a futuristic cat, who had a gadget to get us out of all our troubles? Damn.. the theme song still plays in my head at night. 😀

Well, if you’ve ever been curious about who could be the voices behind these timeless memories of your childhood, you’d be pleasantly surprised with these young and talented voice-over artists.

Let’s look at three wonderful artists who voiced the popular cartoon characters Doraemon, Shizuka, and Shinchan.

Sonal Kaushal

Sonal Kaushal, also known as ‘The Motormouth’ is one of the most renowned voice artists in India and has a Youtube channel with over 1.7M followers! (Talk about a massive following!). She is widely known for voicing the Indian hindi dub of the lead character in a famous Japanese show called ‘Doraemon’.

Apart from this, she has also dubbed for other cartoon characters including the hindi voice of Pikachu, Chota Bheem, Darby in My Friends, Tigger & Pooh, and many more. Her latest and most famous cartoon dub has been the character of the ever-brave role of Bheem in the hit Indian cartoon ‘Chhota Bheem’.

Parul Bhatnagar

The soft-spoken and charming voice behind the cutest character Shizuka from the cartoon show Doraemon is none other than our very own Parul Bhatnagar. She was also the voice behind the characters of Masao and Kazama in the cartoon show Shinchan. She has formally trained in classical music, and has also dubbed the part of Malala's brother in the documentary Malala Yousafzai 'He named me Malala' in 2015. Parul Bhatnagar has been a voice artist for the last 15 years and continues to lend her voice to various projects today.

Akanksha Sharma

Akanksha Sharma is the voice behind the mischievous character of Shinchan Nohara from the popular cartoon show Shinchan, bringing his chirpy and ever-energetic role to life. Apart from Shinchan, she has voiced the famous character of Nobita from Doraemon which was previously dubbed by voice artist Simaran Kaur. Akanksha sharma is a multi-talented voice artist who not only dubbed famous cartoon characters but also dubbed for many movies too, and she also does some pretty funny stand-up comedy too!
